Paris 2.0, 2015

Eiffel Tower in Champ de Mars, Paris

Paris is magical and one of the most romantic cities in the world and I fell in love with it in 2013, when I came here for the first time. This was my second trip to Paris, solely based on shopping, meeting friends, enjoying food, and living a true Parisien life. Every morning I would grab a croissant and a cup of coffee from any local bakery and that would be my french breakfast. Sometimes in the evening, I would just grab a yummy french baguette and a nice french Bordeaux and enjoy the time with my friends before dinner. You cannot do Paris in a week or ten days, like any other big city it needs a lot of time. Its people, culture, language, and food is brilliant.

Major points of interests are: Eiffel Tower in Champ de Mars, The Louvre, Louvre pyramid, Musee d’orsay, Notre dame, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur in Montmartre, Seine river cruise, Latin quarter, St. Germain, Champs Elysee, Jardin du luxembourg, Sainte Chapelle, Palace de la concorde, Pantheon, Muse du Rodin, Odeon, Opera house, Grand Palace, Petit Palace, Palace Vendome, Pont du Alexandra, Love and lock bridge, Gallery Lafayette, Palace of Versailles and the list goes on and on. If you love art and architecture this is a true place for you. Each building has so much character to it that I just wanted to gaze at it for hours.

Weather: Second-third week of September was quite cold for fall.

Must buy: Souvenirs, Paris is one of the fashion capitals of the world, so make sure you buy all the fashionable stuff you need. I also love to check out local stores/boutiques for their latest trends and collection, wherever I travel.

Wear: Comfortable shoes are must as there is a lot of walking while exploring the city around daytime. Evenings can be kept elegant and chic for date night formal dinners by wearing a sexy dress with a nice pair of heels to go with it.

Some of the must try expensive restaurants: Le Comptoir, Le Jules Verne, Laduree, Chez l’aime louis, Ralph, Cafe de flore, Minipalais.

Pics and more details form my 2013 Paris trip will be on the blog soon.
