Denmark has the world’s oldest monarchy. In fact, their current reigning Queen Margrethe II lives with her son Prince Fredrick, his wife and their three children. The most interesting part of traveling to Copenhagen is that you get to see their palaces as even today, some parts of it is open to the general public. You […]
I am singing summer songs these days, “what a beautiful weather!”
For me the best part of summer is to wear all those happy, sexy and skin showy dresses that I cannot dare to wear during winter. In this look, I wore minimal accessories and almost no make up (just the tinted lip balm and blush on my bare skin), to focus more on my outfit. This incredibly beautiful off-the-shoulder organza dress was bought in Japan, but you don’t need to worry as you can find a similar off-the-shoulder dress at most of the popular clothing lines/stores. The addition of neutral heels gives a boost and oomph to the whole look. This summer, I want to look hot and stylish, while keeping it cool at the same time. It is the perfect weekend look for me, what do you all think?
Share your views and questions, I will be happy to read and answer.
Have a fantastic week and thank you so much for reading!
It is that time of the year, when I desperately needed a beach vacation and I managed to plan a short four-day weekend getaway to a beautiful island of Bahamas. This was solely planned for my husband’s birthday celebration.
The Bahamas is a beautiful small island country consists of more than 700 islands and cays. It has a vast history of it’s own about how British colony invaded it and now, there are various colonies living on the different islands.
I was so tired of New York’s gruesome weather and I needed a break from it. My top priorities for this trip was to rejuvenate, lay by the beach/pool, relax, sip my drinks and enjoy the serene views. The best part was that it turned out be exactly the way I wanted.
Beach essentials: Beach swim wear, cover-ups, sarong, sunglasses, water proof sunscreen, hat, beach towel if not staying at a beach resort, and a beach bag is definitely a must while packing for your beach getaway.
Activities: Swimming, snorkeling, scuba, para sailing, kayaking, water biking, jet ski and if you love water parks then you should definitely spend a day at the Atlantis water park.
Summer is the best time to wear beautiful, light, and airy dresses; however, June is around the corner and New York is still not warming up to the idea of summer. In this post, I am going with cheap and chic look. This gorgeous maxi slit dress and nude platform wedges that I am wearing in pictures below are less than $30 each. Isn’t it cool?
Delicate floral patterns are very IN this season. I really adore this summer look as I kept it very simple and chic while at the same time accentuating the look with earrings and a charm bracelet.
Indian weddings are so exciting and full of interesting ceremonies, specially if it’s in the family. It is nonstop fun for straight 3-4 days of events, where families of bride and groom do not rest/sleep as they are busy attending guests and making sure the preps are all good. My older brother recently got married in India, his wife is Indian-american girl from Houston. Her whole family and extended family flew from Houston to India to attend this grand affair of 3-4 days.
I admit, it was outstanding! We had an amazing team of Videographers from Mumbai, who are known for their incredible work in wedding filming called Seventy by two-wedding stories. I can’t wait to share their amazing work with you all.
Until then, I have some of my wedding outfit pictures to share with you. I am sharing four of my traditional and non traditional looks. Let me know how you like it and feel free to shoot me as many questions as you may have.
Enjoy!
xx
Experimental looks:I had never worn a silk saree earlier but, experimented wearing it on the Mehendi (Henna ceremony)/my birthday party and got lots of compliments. These sarees are ageless, ever graceful and always in fashion. I would highly recommend all you girls to at least have one of these in your closet.
Going Indo-Western:I wore an Indo-Western one shoulder dress/gown on cocktail/sangeet ceremony. This beautiful one shoulder dress is made in georgette with silk threads embroidery and swarovski crystals by designer Geetika Singhal.

How to reuse your wedding lehenga (skirt)?:Most of our wedding outfits are kept in the closet and we never wear them again after our wedding. I re-wore my wedding lehenga on my brother’s wedding day by adding a new touch to it. I got a new wide neck blouse/top designed, and draped the lehenga in a very different way to make it look brand new.
Last look of the day, I kept it simple and classy:It is this beautiful plain chiffon saree with a gorgeous backless embroided blouse and to compliment it, I wore an elegant embroided belt on the reception ceremony. It definitely looked classy as it was appreciated by friends, family and guests.
Spring has sprung in the city. You can see the beautiful magnolia trees blossomed in New York city everywhere. I am really excited for our spring trip to India, although it’s going to be very HOT there, but the excitement of meeting family is way beyond anything else.
Here is another amazing shoot from our very amazing Kichaak productions team. This shoot was specially done for our holiday card in last december and as you can see Mr. (celebrity) Jojo Suneja is also in the pictures. These were taken in various locations of Battery park city gardens, which is by the Hudson river overlooking the Jersey city. I have been wanting to share these pictures with you all for a very long time, so here it is!
Now that spring is here, it is high time to get back in shape. If I will not take my workouts seriously, the love handles and stored winter fat will become even more visible. My brother’s wedding is just around the corner and I have been working out vigorously to get back to the toned body I had, before I became lazy and cozy during the winter time.
My workouts include diet control, running, abs and core workout, yoga, and pilates for core strengthening. It has not been very long, so results are not yet visible, but as soon as I see any difference, I will definitely share with you all.
Sharing some pictures of my weekend workout gear, so enjoy and shoot me as many questions you might have.
I hope you all are doing great. Spring is just around the corner and yet there are no signs of spring in New York. Weather patterns are changing from last few years and trust me it is not good for us and our future generations. All thanks to global warming!
Coming back to the spring: Spring palette for this year is certain tones of Peach, Yellow, Green, Grey, Blue, pink and few others colors. I wore a simple bell sleeved black crop top with a casual pair of denims and to compliment those I chose a lilac grey coat, rose pink belt and neon yellow pumps from the spring palette.
I am obsessed with curls these days. Try curls this season instead of straightening your hair.
San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and the only place in the U.S. I would consider relocating in future, if required. It’s very different from the east coast in terms of weather, landscape, and people are in no rush unlike New York. Three years ago I went to San Fran to celebrate new years with friends. I also went to Napa for wine tasting on this trip. I found these pictures in my archives, so thought of sharing with you all.
Attractions: Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Island (for island tours book in advance, it is usually sold out), Union Square, Ghirardelli Square, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Palace of Fine Arts. You can also take a ferry tour which will take you around. For food lovers, there are some amazing restaurants in the city. There is also a cute town nearby overlooking the beautiful city of San Fran by the water called Sausalito.
We took a tour of sterling winery in Napa Valley, I wouldn’t call it the best, it was just okay. There are other amazing wineries in the valley, so make sure you check those out.
Weather: California is always sunny and beautiful all year round. Winter is little chilly in San Fran because of winds and summer is very pleasant.
What to wear: You can rent a car and drive around the city, so heels can be worn, but I would still suggest to wear something comfortable if you are thinking of exploring the city. Carry a trench coat with you all the time as city gets little chilly. For evening dinners, wear a breathtaking sexy dress with bright colored pumps.
It has been a while, looks like the west coast is calling me back again, may be I need to make a trip soon.
Enjoy the pictures folks!
xx
P.S: I look weird in some of the pictures because of my facial allergies in this trip, incase you are wondering.

It was our first trip of the year to upstate New York. I was not very happy with the idea of going on a vacation to an extremely cold place, when I already live in cold New York. My husband convinced me to take a quick weekend trip to Lake George for Skiing as he loves it and I don’t know how to even hold the ski poles (gear). We drove on friday after work to Lake George, and guess what?! it was terribly cold. We went skiing next day to Gore mountain and I took ski lessons. I almost broke my ribs on bunny hills, while my husband was having such a good time, making videos and doing other daring stunts while skiing on top of the mountain. Sunday morning we went to Vermont, specially to take a tour of Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream Factory and to enjoy the scenic drive to Vermont.
Weather: Winter is very COLD, so summer and fall seasons are better to visit anywhere in upstate. If you love Skiing, then definitely winter is the best time for you to go. Apart from skiing there are not many outdoor activities in winter.
What to wear? For the cold weather, bundle up layers to keep yourself warm. Wear warm down jacket to protect yourself from harsh cold weather. I couldn’t do without my pair of Ugg. While skiing you require special ski gloves, glasses, warm leggings, and the ski gear, if you don’t have any, you can also rent it at the ski resort.
Lockers are also available at the ski resort, so you can keep your valuables safely inside.
It was quite an eventful trip. Here are some of the pictures from this short weekend trip, Enjoy!
