Gorgeous Art Noveau town of Alesund

Hi Folks,

I am so excited to share our Norway experiences with you. Norway is such a beautiful country. The landscape here is breathtaking and so splendid that I just wanted to stay there forever. I wanted to do New Zealand so bad because of the Fjords, but then I found out that Norway also have some gorgeous Fjords and not just Fjords, there is so much natural beauty to see in this small country.

It is one of the most scenic Scandinavian countries, though, food is not much of a highlight here. Viking history is fun to learn about. We were there for four days and since it was summer, not a good time to find northern lights, so we didn’t go to much higher latitude. During this time you have full 24 hours of daylight, which in itself is a different experience altogether. We decided to spend two days in Alesund, a gorgeous art noveau town by the water. Next day, we drove to Geirenger and took a private boat tour to see and experience the fjords. We spent a whole day in Geirenger and drove to Dalsnibba mountain and lake Djupvatnet. Next day, we drove to Oslo and spent a day there and explored the city. It was definitely a short trip, so I saved a lot of places for next time as I want to come back and see the northern lights from Norway.

Must see:

Alesund: Walk in the old city, hike to the view point for the beautiful city views.

Geirenger: Fjords, Seven sisters waterfall, Bachelor waterfall, Dalsnibba mountain, Djupvatnet glacial lake and there are also must go view points.

Oslo: Viking ship Museum, Royal Palace, Frogner Park, Akershus Fort, Hollmenkolen ski mueseum

Must try restaurant in Oslo: Festningen

What to wear? North was cold, but during the day time you just need a fall/wind jacket to protect yourself from the wind. Oslo was celebrating summer, so it was pretty much like New York summer. I wore a comfortable pair sneakers through out the trip to make my feet happy.

My husband chose the hotel Scandic hollmenkolen Park in Oslo for its location and the beautiful views.

Enjoy the post and have a wonderful week!

Xx

Are you ready for my new evening look?

Hi peeps!

I am back with this ravishing new evening look and so excited to share another gorgeous photo shoot with my favorite Kichaak Productions. I am very picky when it comes to a fancy date/cocktail night outfit. I want to make sure that I am not over doing it and also not just looking very casual. A date/cocktail night outfit has to be classy, upscale and elegant. Now, let’s talk a little bit about this look, the dress here is very glitzy and glamorous, to accentuate the full look I wore a pair of my old peep toes with just a minimal bling. And to complete the look I kept make up very subtle and nude. So girls, what are you waiting for? Dig in your closet or go out for shopping for that perfect date/cocktail night look.

I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Have a fantastic week!

xx

Say “YES” to Crop tops and High waisted shorts!!

Welcome August! This month say “hello” to your crop tops and high waisted skirts, shorts, pants and denims. The latest trends call for this gorgeous style. As we are transitioning into fall, I used the fall/ winter palette colors. I specifically love this monochrome top as you can pair it with any vibrant color shorts/skirts/pants. These striped high waisted shorts are my personal favorites from my own closet. These platform wedges are my recent love, I could walk in these without any complaints for more than 10 hours straight. I hope you enjoyed my August look. Have a splendid week and enjoy reading!

Copenhagen, Denmark

Denmark has the world’s oldest monarchy. In fact, their current reigning Queen Margrethe II lives with her son Prince Fredrick, his wife and their three children. The most interesting part of traveling to Copenhagen is that you get to see their palaces as  even today, some parts of it is open to the general public. You […]

Off-the-shoulder Obsession!

Hi Peeps!

I am singing summer songs these days, “what a beautiful weather!”

For me the best part of summer is to wear all those happy, sexy and skin showy dresses that I cannot dare to wear during winter. In this look, I wore minimal accessories and almost no make up (just the tinted lip balm and blush on my bare skin), to focus more on my outfit. This incredibly beautiful off-the-shoulder organza dress was bought in Japan, but you don’t need to worry as you can find a similar off-the-shoulder dress at most of the popular clothing lines/stores. The addition of neutral heels gives a boost and oomph to the whole look. This summer, I want to look hot and stylish, while keeping it cool at the same time. It is the perfect weekend look for me, what do you all think?

Share your views and questions, I will be happy to read and answer.

Have a fantastic week and thank you so much for reading!

The Bahamas

TB1

Hi People!

It is that time of the year, when I desperately needed a beach vacation and I managed to plan a short four-day weekend getaway to a beautiful island of Bahamas. This was solely planned for my husband’s birthday celebration.

The Bahamas is a beautiful small island country consists of more than 700 islands and cays. It has a vast history of it’s own about how British colony invaded it and now, there are various colonies living on the different islands.

I was so tired of New York’s gruesome weather and I needed a break from it. My top priorities for this trip was to rejuvenate, lay by the beach/pool, relax, sip my drinks and enjoy the serene views. The best part was that it turned out be exactly the way I wanted.

Beach essentials: Beach swim wear, cover-ups, sarong, sunglasses, water proof sunscreen, hat, beach towel if not staying at a beach resort, and a beach bag is definitely a must while packing for your beach getaway.

Activities: Swimming, snorkeling, scuba, para sailing, kayaking, water biking, jet ski and if you love water parks then you should definitely spend a day at the Atlantis water park.

So all set? ready to take a plunge and get a tan?

Enjoy the pictures and have a great long weekend!

Cheap and chic: Floral vibes on the blog!

Hello Folks!

Summer is the best time to wear beautiful, light, and airy dresses; however, June is around the corner and New York is still not warming up to the idea of summer. In this post, I am going with cheap and chic look. This gorgeous maxi slit dress and nude platform wedges that I am wearing in pictures below are less than $30 each. Isn’t it cool?

Delicate floral patterns are very IN this season. I really adore this summer look as I kept it very simple and chic while at the same time accentuating the look with earrings and a charm bracelet.

Enjoy the look and thank you so much for reading!
