I’ve got the suggestion list and I’m looking at what I have in my closet and looking at what I need to add.

We traveled from Strandebarm north to Molde, then back south to Bergen. I highly recommend a good pair of shoes with tread on them. It doesn’t matter if you’re hiking or not; walking amidst so much water everywhere, good treads are great for not slipping! Our coldest day there was around 55°F, with wind. Coming from the hot southeast of the USA, it felt wonderful all I needed was a long sleeve shirt and my EB raincoat. I wore mostly pants, but I am so thankful I had a pair of shorts with me too, because it did get up to 70° a couple of days, and that sun can get very warm closer to the top of the Earth!

Be prepared and it will be a great trip

April is still winter many places. The temperature ranges in this post are to narrow. In Oslo, temperature in winter is normally between -20 and +10 C. Temperature in spring between -10 and +25 C. Temperature in summer between +10 and +30 C. Temperature in Autumn between -10 and +20 C. There is some less variation on the west coast, but larger variation in-land in Northern Norway (can get much colder). Thermal underwear is recommended all year round. Also note that umbrellas will not work in cities like Bergen and Ålesund, there is too much wind. If you plan to do a lot of outdoor activities, rainproof pants are a must.
