I’m looking for a lightweight work blazer that will be suitable for business across Europe. Preferably it will be smart, stylish, lightweight, comfy, won’t wrinkle, and will wash easily. Any recommendations?

I’ve been eyeing the ED Departure Blazer for a while now. It seems to check all the boxes for traveling except I think there are some mixed reviews about whether it’s wrinkle-resistant or not. I have the Quince Sweater Blazer, but it’s entirely too heavy to pack for light travel. I would have to wear it on the plane to justify taking it with me.
I am always looking for a good travel blazer and this is a GREAT selection!
I haven’t thought of taking a blazer when vacationing, but after seeing all of the options and cute looks I will definitely add this to my list of items to bring.
Some of these are not really blazers, but sweaters. The person asked for a work blazer. I find the best blazers for me to travel with (I am flight crew) are Veronica Beard Miller Dickey Jackets, Example- https://www.nordstrom.com/s/6588417
They are expensive -average $695- but they travel so well! They look fantastic, I always get compliments from a myriad of people of all ages and both sexes. You can add dickey sweatshirt/sweaters/jean jackets to the blazers for a layered look without the bulk. Nothing beats this for a professional look to a more dressed up casual look. Well worth the money.

I never thought about traveling with a blazer until I read this. I got the Eddie Bauer Travel Blazer (hard to find – they sell out all the time!), but now I won’t leave home without it. It does double-duty of keeping me warmer on a cool day, and making any outfit look smart.
I am looking for a travel blazer in petite sizes. The sleeves are too long on regular sizes.

Great article. I have two of the Uniqlo blazers. They are the most comfortable blazers! Looks equally as good with a dress, or jeans, a graphic tee and converse. One note, I had no idea they were dry clean only. I always just wash in cold water and they are holding up just fine. Highly recommend them!

Just a little note on the Eddie Bauer travel blazer. I purchased this blazer from Eddie Bauer based on your blog post but I had to return it. Turns out, the blazer is actually not lightweight at all. It was just under 2 lbs, which is WAY too heavy if you’re traveling light. It takes up as much room in the suitcase as any other blazer I’ve tried, also. It is a flattering, nice and comfortable blazer and resists wrinkles, but it’s not ideal if you’re trying to pack light or save space.
