Saint Lucia is a wonderful island in the Caribbean. Although it’s a popular honeymoon destination, there’s no reason to limit the island to honeymooners – it’s great for any couple that’s looking for a romantic escape.
Because you’re more likely to stay at a resort than at a hotel in the city, it’s important to bring clothing and accessories that work well for both the pool and any excursions you go on. Here are a few tips to make sure you’re trip ready when you visit.
What to Pack for St Lucia:

Summer rompers make a great alternative to dresses and are one of our favorite styles for island and beach vacations. They can be dressed down as a swimsuit cover-up, worn casually for sightseeing, and dressed up at night.

Summer Dresses
The weather is warm on the island so why not take advantage and get some resort wear style. When you’re planning what to wear in St Lucia, think airy dresses and beautiful ocean-inspired hues like the ones shown in this summer capsule wardrobe.
A maxi dress in a climate like Saint Lucia screams relaxing vacation. Pack one to look fashionable and fuss-free. The beauty of a maxi dress is its versatility – add or subtract accessories to change the entire outfit – a simple way to take your look from the beach to the resort restaurant.

A lightweight but versatile jacket is the perfect layer for your week in paradise. It goes great with both the maxi dress and the romper. I like having one for those cooler evenings when you need something thicker than a cardigan but not as heavy as a coat.
Reversible Tote
If you don’t want to carry the same bag all week but you need something that holds your poolside necessities, pack a reversible tote! Its double the bag that takes up half the packing space.
This one comes with a small wristlet that you can grab for dinner when you don’t want to bring a whole tote. As a bonus, use it as your personal item on the plane, too!

If you plan on hiking either Gros Piton or Petit Piton, make sure to bring some good fitness wear. The hike is steep, through rocks, but doesn’t require you to bring traditional hiking gear if you go with a guide.
